Experience
While a graduate student, I taught college classes and worked with high school students in the school's research laboratory. The experience as an instructor and mentor was a great one - one that I want to continue as a tutor, sharing my love of science and passion for learning with others.To me, science is fun. I love exploring the way the world works. I especially enjoyed the master's degree research I conducted on geomicrobiology. It gave me an opportunity to learn about several areas of science at once: geology, biology, and chemistry.In addition to science subjects (biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, microbiology, physical chemistry, biochemistry, earth science, environmental science, physical science, life sciences), I can also tutor mathematics, including elementary school math and middle school math, algebra 1-3/4, and precalculus.I have a Master of Science in Earth and Space Science from the University of Washington, and a bachelor's degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University. Currently a resident of Seattle, I like to spend time outdoors there with friends or inside sharing a meal. Reading is also a way that I like to spend my free time. I enjoy reading books of any type, fiction or nonfiction.
