Experience
I've tutored at multiple Boys and Girls Clubs since 2010. I was also the mechanical engineering department tutor at Colorado State University for two and a half years. I realize that each person learns in their own way and you need to approach each student as an Individual. As a tutor, I try to come up with a variety of approaches to a problem and teach the student each one until there is a "Eureka!" moment. There's a flash of recognition and with a little practice that knowledge becomes imbedded and can be drawn upon for future assignments and tests.

Hobbies
I have been tutoring in math and physics for a long time. In school, I was the type of person who got mad when I got a B. Once I start something, I do it to the best of my abilities until it's done. That said, I am also a very relaxed person. Getting a degree in philosophy really helped me realize what was and wasn't important. In a nutshell, nothing matters until we prescribe meaning to it and make it matter. I like playing and watching soccer. I like music a lot. My favorite bands are Broken Social Scene, The Magnetic Fields, and The Dirty Projectors but that changes week to week.
