Private tutor in Seattle, WA

Western Washington University - BA, Interdisciplinary Studies: Political Economy, Latin America, Microfinance, Minor in Spanish

My approach to teaching is to use creative methods to spark students' curiosity and to connect ideas through critical thinking. My role as an educator is to discover the most effective learning style for students and to assist them in building their strengths and self-confidence in education. I believe that tutoring offers an opportunity to build unique relationships because the partnership is based on the student's individual needs, which places the student at the center of focus. I have had the privilege of teaching students in Japan, Peru, and the United States. My professional teaching experiences are in art, EFL, English writing, ESL, and Spanish. I have tutored college students in the United States in academic writing, anthropology, political science, and history. I attended Western Washington University. I enjoy reading nonfiction, gardening, and the outdoors. I am currently learning how to play the guitar and sing.
