Experience

I have worked with 13-18 year olds in a variety of capacities including teaching 11th grade science, leading wilderness trips, and coaching soccer. I also ran my own tutoring business in Boulder, CO working with students of all ages on math and science concepts. I am passionate about working one-on-one with middle and high school students to boost confidence in math and science and organization in school. I seek to work with your student at his/her own pace to make sure we are firm in our understanding of the basics before moving on to the more complicated topics. I have over 6 years of experience working with students 11-18 from tutoring to classroom teaching to leading wilderness trips and coaching. I specialize in one-on-one tutoring working with an array of learning styles and especially enjoy working with students with learning differences and IEPs. My goal is to build confidence in my students and help them realize their potential. I believe no one is bad at science or math, but it takes more time for some to learn this core skills and concepts or many students need to hear the material in a different way to grasp the concept. I currently work for at Woza Soccer, a non-profit that runs service trips for high school students abroad using soccer as a vehicle to cross culturally connect with communities in South Africa, Peru and Costa Rica. I am passionate about working with young people and I love to share my passion of science and math with your student.

Hobbies

I played soccer and ultimate frisbee in college and still enjoy playing both recreationally. I also love to bike, hike, ski and spend as much time in the mountains as possible. The Golden State Warriors is another passion of mine.
