Private tutor in Seattle, WA
Bradley University - Bachelors, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Focus and Biology Minor
If you're looking for a tutor who values learning in an informal, fun, and cheerful environment, you've come to the right place. I completely understand how the STEM topics can be tough. I struggled for years to understand everything that was taught to me in class, but have lots of experience in science and math plus other weird, random life experiences to bring to the table. Beyond my engineering office background, I seek a career and future in teaching and tutoring. I'll admit I don't understand every topic sometimes! The key is to figure out a unique way to retain information. This can be fun. Word associations, goofy acronyms, jokes, and even songs can be useful to learning regardless of age. Once, I sat in a graduate level college class humming. I made up a tune to remember the workings of an MRI machine. My classmates gave me weird looks, but the technique worked! For my tutees, I do the same, make boring topics fun, and tough concepts easier to learn in an open and accepting environment. A Seattle resident, I love gardening and home repairs. I've also been skydiving and scuba diving and hope to someday go bungee jumping.

I love gardening, tinkering, doing home repairs and all sorts of extreme activities, when I am able. I've gone skydiving and scubadiving, but hope to one day add bungee-jumping to that list
