Experience
As a former high school English teacher in the United Kingdom and current writing tutor, I have the experience necessary to work with students to improve their reading and writing skills. I enjoy being a tutor because I like watching students begin to enjoy reading and writing, as I do, and understand the value of those skills in their everyday lives. I have an academic background in a broad range of English literature. Additionally, I have experience teaching many genres of English literature, including poetry, and have taught academic essay writing and creative writing. I am trained in MLA and APA formatting. I am currently tutoring elementary school students in creative writing and SSAT test preparation. SAT and AP test scores available upon request.
