ExperienceEducation has been so important in my life, I plan to have a career in education policy. I am thankful for my time in college and have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to attend. It has taught me the satisfaction of being a critical thinker and successful scholar; I am a direct result of effective instruction. As a tutor for the University of Washington's Pipeline Project, I instructed high school students in science and math. When I was in high school, my favorite subjects were science, specifically geology and biology, along with calculus. This changed in college; now I focus more on political science and policy, statistics, reading comprehension, and writing. I am comfortable and happy with tutoring many subjects. I have expertise in AP subjects, including calculus AB, biology, and US government. I can also help students with test prep. As an instructor, I want to be a resource for my students. It is important that I understand a student's goals so that we may work together to meet them. I am studying political science and philosophy at the University of Washington. In my free time, I like to run, hike, participate in the campus student government organization, and watch Friends over and over again on Netflix.
