Hobbies
Hi! My name is Jacob and I enjoy teaching and learning, especially Math, Physics, and Engineering. I love the mountains and the snow and have been snowboarding since I was 7 years old. Some of my other hobbies include skateboarding, sports (watching and playing), reading all sorts of books, and brain teasers (rubik's cubes are the classical favorite). I am in the process of teaching myself how to play guitar because it is something i've always wanted to learn! I am an extremely patient teacher and am really good with kids. I have experience teaching kids as young as toddlers when I used to teach swim lessons for years; however, I also have experience with older students as I just stopped tutoring college athletes at Boise State. I am versatile, respectful, and do my best to make the learning fun and interactive. I want the student to practice learning how to learn because I feel that that skill will be used for the rest of their life. I can adapt to any type of learning style the student may have and my ultimate goal is to be able to really help make an impact on one of the greatest parts of everybody's life, their education.
