Experience
I have worked as a math tutor since high school. I have a proven record of being highly detail-oriented and patient; these qualities were recognized by many of my students. The tutoring experience has made me a better communicator. Specifically, I learned to tailor my message to my audience in the most effective way. I was able to explain complicated and abstract mathematical concepts to my students in a context that they could understand. In addition to my tutoring experience, I have participated in a number of club functions and leadership programs during my time in college. I served as the External Vice President for the student residential hall and was selected as the director of UCLA’s Taiwanese Cultural Night. These extracurricular activities not only strengthened my interpersonal and leadership skills, but they taught me how to be successful in a team environment. I received 800 on both SAT I math and SAT II Math 2 back in 2011. I have passed two actuarial exam.
