Experience
Each student is unique and has his or her own passions, and each student already holds understanding and experiences. These should be used to help each student when they are working to expand and develop their skills and understanding. I hold a bachelor's degree in both politics and philosophy/region. I earned these from Ithaca College. I also have a master's degree in Political Science from Temple University. Over the past five years, I've taught courses at Temple University. These courses have included political theory and philosophy, American politics, politics of identity, research methods, statistics, and race and gender studies. I've also helped students with the content and form of their writing. I've helped high school juniors and seniors who are preparing for college; this has happened through a summer bridge program. I've also scholastically mentored middle school students. When I teach or tutor, I use a reciprocal and empathetic pedagogy knowing that each student is different and can reach his or her own potential. My subjects of specialty include the humanities and social sciences, history, philosophy, English, statistics, and politics. In my free time, I like to read, cook, and enjoy music, sports, and film.
