Experience
I have worked at the writing center at the University of Washington for over two years providing individualized feedback for resumes, cover letters, letters of intent for graduate school, scientific writing, literature reviews, and many other disciplines of writing. Throughout my experience at the writing center, I have developed an interest in working with English Language Learners (ELL). This year, I presented at a graduate conference about pedagogical tutoring and best practices for working with ELL students and embracing different writing styles. I believe in empowering people to become better writers. I also have previous experience tutoring public speaking. For the past 4 years, I have volunteered with an organization providing free editing services for underprivileged students.
