Experience

I am currently a freshman at the University of Washington where I am studying for my bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. However, I also have a strong passion for pre-med. Even as a child, I had taught other children. I have experience working at a math and reading tutoring center for children between the ages of 5 and 14. While working at the math and reading center, I personally tutored 20 children. I am also passionate about math and can teach varying levels of mathematics. Along with mathematics, I am secure in my ability to tutor reading and science to young children. As for my tutoring style, I believe in giving each student the ability to learn in different problem solving methods. From there, the student can then understand the process of figuring out the problem at hand. When a student comprehends each step of solving the problem, he or she can easily retain and apply the information taught. Beyond tutoring, I recently attained my Eagle Scout rank as a member of the Boy Scouts of America. I have a love for the outdoors and keeping active. When time permits, I enjoy playing tennis, camping, and playing a friendly game of soccer.
